Greetings to my Beloved Mt. Vernon Family and Friends,
Tomorrow, Saturday April 16, is the last day of our season of Lent and Daniel Fast. My prayer is that you have drawn closer to God, and He has drawn closer to you each day as you paused, reflected, and prayed over the scriptures I texted to you. I thank God for the clarity He has given us and the strongholds He has broken over our lives. I thank Him for renewing our strength, uniting us in the Spirit, and knitting our hearts together in love. Now let us look to Easter Sunday, Resurrection Day with a renewed sense of commitment, love, and celebration. The apostle Paul said, “And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless, and you are still guilty of your sins. In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost! And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world (1Co 15:17-19. NLT).” We do not worship a dead hero but a living Savior, Jesus Christ. Let us come out and worship our Lord and Savior this Easter Sunday, Resurrection Day, and thank Him for all He has done. Amen!
Be Richly Blessed,
Pastor Deborah Giles
