Greetings Mt. Vernon Family,
1 Timothy 4:8,10 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come...10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.
Thank You Lord, for our hope in You is not misplaced hope. You are our hope of glory, our hope of resurrection, our hope for a future. In these perilous times of pandemics, systemic racism, replacement theory, senseless violence, and corrupt government, we thank You that no matter what it looks like, in You we have hope, a living hope. You are our confident expectation of things to come. Not our government, not our bank accounts, not our jobs or any other person or thing. Because our hope is fixed on You our struggle is not in vain. Our work is not in vain. Our faith is not in vain, and our living is not in vain. We thank You that Jesus is coming again. His coming again is our Blessed HOPE!
Be Richly Blessed,
Pastor Deborah Giles
