Greetings Mt. Vernon in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,

In 1John 1:3 the apostle John says, we proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. I began a new sermon series on last week called “Sharing the God Life.” God has called us to share in the life of Jesus Christ as Christ shares in a divine life and eternal life with the Father. Christ is in the Father; the Father is in Christ and we are in Christ and the Father John 17:21. Being in fellowship with God means walking in the light and being in fellowship with one another. I am excited about our new cell group ministry. I am confident it will deepen our fellowship and help us stay connected as we grow in grace with one another. Cell group leaders and their scheduled times for prayer and devotion will be made available. Please sign up and connect with a cell group. Remember, fellowship, Koinonia in the Greek is a sharing in common. It means partaker, partnership, participation, communion and community. Participate! As the Rev. Al Green would say, “Let’s Stay Together loving you whether, whether times are good or bad or happy or sad.”
