Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, "Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved." Act 27:31.

On Paul’s journey to Rome, the captain and sailors on the ship made the decision against Paul’s advice, to continue the journey rather than stay in harbor at Fair Haven. As a result, the ship was caught in a typhoon and severely battered by the storm. The cargo was thrown overboard to lighten the ship. Those aboard lost all hope. After fourteen days of darkness, an angel of God stood by Paul and said, 'Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before the emperor; and indeed, God has granted safety to all those who are sailing with you' Acts 27:23-24. God is with us in the journey. But the journey is not just for us. There are people we come in contact with on the journey and God gives them safety because they are with us. It is important that we trust God in the journey and not abandon ship. We must not abandon the process or our faith as we are going through. The Lord is using us to save lives and to reach people for Christ. Amen!

I love you all very much, be richly blessed!

Pastor Deborah Giles
