Greetings Mt. Vernon Family, 

But Jesus said, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children (Mat 19:14). 

Lord thank You for our children and all that we have learned in being their parents. We pray for their safety during this time of pandemics and political unrest. Hide them under the shadow of Your wings. Give us wisdom as parents and guardians to make godly decisions concerning their welfare and schooling. Let your righteousness and justice prevail upon the hearts of our local government and school officials. Reveal to government and school officials a step-by-step system of education that will keep our teachers, children and our families safe. Lord, provide equitable funding and gifted workers to schools, particularly in poor neighborhoods that are underfunded and underserved. Bless our children with the resources they need to meet the challenges of these times whether they attend school in person or homeschool. Lord, lead Your church in how to partner with You in supporting our children as they start their third school year in a pandemic. AMEN!
