A Father’s Day Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for godly fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, uncles, godfathers and church fathers. Those who stepped up to be fathers to the fatherless. Men of integrity, who have kept Your word. Men who are examples of faith, righteousness, patience, compassion and love. Men who brought us up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

They are pillars in the church and the community—providers, protectors. Some with quiet strength, some with bold strength. They are men who love You with their whole heart and follow You. They are not ashamed of the gospel and they are willing to take a stand for You. We say thank You Lord and we look to You, just as our fathers did to give us all that it takes to be Christlike in this world and to hand on the FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE to the next generation - A Better Way Forward.
