Greetings Mt. Vernon Family,

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland Isaiah 43:18-19.”

Twenty-twenty one brings the promise of new things: a new president, a new administration, a new vaccine. But making it through the wilderness to the promised land requires following the Lord closely and staying under His protection. Sometimes the vision unfolds gradually and by faith we keep doing what God appointed us to do until He says differently. At other times God shows us what the vision looks like when it is fulfilled, but He does not show us the obstacles in between. Either way, Mt. Vernon we are moving forward in faith, hope, and love in 2021, looking forward to the new thing God is doing. Amen!
