Greetings Mt. Vernon Family,

Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, with trembling kiss His feet, or He will be angry, and you will perish in the way…Psalms 2:10-12.

Father, we thank You for a new administration of government that will be inaugurated next week. Lord, it is You who oppose kings and raise up others Dan. 2:21. We pray that the leaders of this new administration will fear and honor You more than any extremist, or group of politicians or base of voters. Lord, we pray that the new administration will lead with fairness and equity for all people in America and that systemic racism will be rooted out and abolished. Expose corruption on every level in our society and hold offenders accountable with justice and mercy. Give knowledge to our scientists to develop effective vaccines to stop the COVID-19 virus and all of its mutations. Appoint gifted people with integrity to educate our communities about the vaccines. Give this administration the wisdom and the resources to distribute the vaccines effectively, fairly and expeditiously. Call Your church to repentance, humility and unity in the faith. Wash us in Your word O Lord. Redirect us, revive and refresh us by Your Spirit, in Jesus Name, Amen!
