"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Mat 28:19.”

The inauguration of a new president ushers in a new administration of government and sometimes a new era for the country, for better or for worse. The theme of president Biden’s inaugural address was “unity is the path forward.” The Biden-Harris administration is one of hope and promise to many Americans. The Sermon on the Mount is like Jesus’ inaugural address. Jesus ushered in a new era, the kingdom of God, the church age. Presidents come and go but the church of Jesus Christ has one King, one kingdom, and one mission. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus instructed the disciples and us to go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Mat 28:19. Jesus is our King and Lord, making disciples is our mission and Jesus’ kingdom will last forever.
