Greetings Mt. Vernon Family,

This is our fourth Sunday in a Lenten series called Mosaic: When God Uses All of the Pieces by author Shane Stanford. This series explores broken places in our souls and how God heals them. The sermons I have preached thus far have explored how God heals our broken places of rebellion, restlessness, regret, and rejection when we surrender to Him at the crossroads of brokenness and wholeness. This Sunday’s message is entitled, “When God Uses Our Responsibilities.” As we continue our Daniel Fast during this season of Lent, let us read, pray, reflect, and surrender our broken places to God, who will graciously heal us and make our lives masterpieces. The following are scriptures and questions to guide you in your reading and reflections next week March 15-20:

Monday: Matthew 27:15-26

Tuesday: Numbers 1:50-51

Wednesday: Galatians 6:7-8

Thursday: Romans 12:6-8

Friday: 1 John 4:7-17

Saturday: Matthew 25:29

Questions to Consider:

Also read Genesis 1:1-3; 3:12-13; Matthew 5:13-16; John 14 and Acts 2:42-47.

1. What does God say in these passages about living faithful to our responsibilities?

2. How do your current responsibilities affect the way you see God and serve God?

Be Richly Blessed,

Pastor Deborah Giles
