Greetings Mt. Vernon Family,

For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers (1 Timothy 4:10).

Thank You Lord, for our hope in You is not misplaced hope. You are our hope of glory, our hope of resurrection, our hope for a future. In these perilous times of pandemics, systemic racism, senseless violence, and corrupt government, we thank You that no matter what it looks like, in You we have hope, a living hope. You are our confident expectation of things to come. Not our government, not our bank accounts, not our jobs or any other person or thing. Because our hope is fixed on You our struggle is not in vain. Our work is not in vain. Our faith is not in vain and our living is not in vain. We thank You that Jesus is coming again. Our Blessed HOPE!
