Greetings Mt. Vernon Family,
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” John 14:12.
Can you imagine doing the works that Jesus did and even greater works? The church is Christ’s body, and He is the head of the Church. The Spirit of Christ lives in the church, in each individual member and collectively as the community of faith. We are God's masterpiece; He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago Eph. 2:10. We are made for miracles. God wants to do miraculous things in and through us. But miracles come at a cost. Jesus said, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me” Luk. 9:23. God is sovereign. He chooses when, where, and how miracles happen. But God also use human participation to make miracles happen. In the book Made for A Miracle author Mike Slaughter states, “When divine intervention meets human initiative, miracles happen.” God wants to do greater works through His church. God is not looking at our ability but our availability. Are you willing and available to participate in the miracle of someone’s salvation, deliverance and healing? God made you for miracles! Amen!
Be Richly Blessed,
Pastor Deborah Giles
