Greetings Mt. Vernon Family,

Remember how the LORD your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands (Deu. 8:2 NLT).

Our wilderness experiences are those times when God delivers us from one way of existing, but we have not yet entered the promised land. We are in between jobs, or homes, or relationships. It is that meantime, or in between time experience. We cannot go back to the way it was, but we do not yet know where we are going or what will be. The Covid-19 pandemic has been a wilderness experience. But as believers in Christ Jesus, we can take comfort, for Jesus is the One who calls us into the wilderness to spend time with Him. In His presence, we find protection, provision, purging, preparation and power, for what is to come. We are on the threshold of something better. Get caught up in God’s presence. Let God be your stability. Take comfort in Him and praise Him mightily.
