Greetings Mt. Vernon Family,
The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein (Psa. 24:1 KJV).
The Jewish festivals described first in the Old Testament were days appointed and ordained by God to be kept in honor of His name. The seven festivals symbolize or foreshadow some aspect of Christ life, death, resurrection and His second coming. The feasts are related to spring and fall harvests and agricultural seasons. Festivals are a reminder to Israel and us of God’s continual provisions and protection. The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein (Psa. 24:1 KJV). All that we are and everything we have belongs to God. Festivals are a time of celebration, a time to give thanks. At Mt. Vernon we will gather for a tent worship service and our annual Harvest Feast on Sunday. God is good. He has been our provider and protector through the pandemic. Let us come out and express our gratitude to God and give thanks to Him for all He has done. Amen.
